Honoring Kim Snider

It is with a heavy heart I write to you today. Sadly, Kim Snider, founder of Snider Advisors and creator of the Snider Investment Method, passed away on Sunday, July 5th due to complications caused by dementia.

For the last 18 months, Kim was battling early onset vascular dementia. This is a devastating diagnosis for anyone. For Kim, a person defined by her brilliant, big ideas and her keen intellect, it seemed particularly unfair.

If you had the great pleasure of meeting Kim, you know that she was truly one of a kind. When she entered the room, you instantly felt her presence. Her passion, conviction, and excitement were contagious. It only takes a cursory look at the Snider Method to see proof of her commitment to excellence and innovation.

Kim loved sharing her message with as many people as she could. One of her favorite places to be was center stage in front of the biggest crowd possible. Her voice was unique, instantly recognizable by her many fans on KRLD radio. Her message was always educated, honest, and direct.

Kim was a wonderful boss and mentor. She challenged her employees to always be “the smartest person in the room,” an impossible task while she was present. Kim insisted that her team be as passionate about her clients as she was. She settled for nothing less than the best service for them.

After Kim moved on from Snider Advisors, she continued to explore new ideas and feed her entrepreneurial spirit. She created several new businesses allowing her to impact the lives of many more people.

Kim will be missed by all those that knew her. I assure you that the company and culture she created will live on well beyond her time here on earth. We can’t thank her enough for the vision, training, and knowledge that she shared with us.

Over the last few years, Kim enjoyed “retirement” with her husband, Jim, in South Carolina. She was living her dream and playing polo almost daily. We spoke often, but communication picked up in recent months with the pandemic upon us. Her voice and guidance were encouraging in a time of stress. In one of her last emails, she expressed her pride in our team continuing to carry her torch. The truth is it is our honor to carry on her legacy and strive to uphold the values she instilled in us many years ago.

If you wish to make a memorial in Kim’s name, please support Second Wind Dreams or Hitchcock Woods Foundation. You can also donate to your local animal shelter. Kim had a big heart for her canine companions. The family hopes to have a service to celebrate Kim’s life this fall. You can find her full obituary here
